In what way are young people misunderstood ?

There is always disagreement between parents and children, more globally between adults and young people...
I think the fault is on both of the parties : adults do not try to modernize and young people do not try to understand adults...
Here in Morocco, it's another matter ! Adults always talk to teenagers as if they don't understand anything... but gradually this mentallity diisappears and young people are seen like the future of the country.
Expecting your comments ;)

  1. hi jad. yeah I don't really try too hard to understand my dad too much because he is really behind times, and barely knows how to use a phone. he doesn't try and understand me either, so I guess you are most definitely right about how it happens.

  2. hey Jad! I agree with you that the fault is in both of the parties. Some adults do not want to try and modernize and the youth do not try or want to talk to most aults because they might not understand or might talk to them like they don't understand anything.

  3. Jad! I always love seeing your posts. I absolutely agree with you. I believe that in the US adults also see us as misunderstanding teens. When talkinng about an important manner they tell us, "Oh, you wouldn't understand." But, I do. I want to be included! Then, when I go to leadership conferences I have people telling me that I am the future and have to do something. How am I supposed to know what's going on in my economy when my parents won't tell me? Thanks.

  5. Hello! I agree to an extent in what you are saying. I just think this is a hard topic to generalize on. Yes, a lot of adults probably look down on teenagers, but not all. And I am sure there are some teenagers who do try to understand adults. But I do think you are right.

  6. I agree I fell like it is both parties fault. I think if both of us just try to understand each other it would be better. You don't know how many times I have heard my parents say "you wouldn't understand". Maybe if they explained things to me I would understand.

  7. Hey Jad. Glad to see someone who shows both perspectives of the misunderstandings. I agree with 100% on what you said and feel you worded it perfectly. Sometimes parents just won't understand the things that we, as the next generation, want or need. Not saying we are always right at all, but sometimes parents just don't realize certain things. Have a great day!
